T.E. Dave Casper
Finally a Raider, now the other side of the ball defensive line! Give me 2 votes then we will add up
the total and pick two!
1)Jon Grant says: Mark Gastineu and Howie Long! No quarter back would stand a chance!
2)Leon Long says:Harvey Martin - Cowboys and Howie Long - Raiders
3)Mike Long says:I will give you Howie Long given his is a distant relative, but don't you dare leave off one of the
mighty Bears, Richard Dent!
4)Fred Grant says:Well, I can say that I have respect for all the nominees, but I can't go without nominating Big Daddy
Lipscomb, 305 pound tackle for the Baltimore Colts;the first of the 300 pound linemen, he was fast enough to be a linebacker,
once dropped off the line and chased a Green Bay back for 40 yards and knocked down a pass in the end zone; had an arm wingspand
of 7 feet, Gino Marchetti hall of fame end for Colts called Big Daddy their 4th linebacker and Charley Winner defensive coach
said would have changed him mto llinebacker at 305, but could't spare him on the line.
And, as much as I would like to
name Rosie Greer and Gino Marchetti, I have to go with Mean Joe Greene at the other spot; part of the dreaded Steel Curtain.
5)Anne Kelly says: Hopefully thsi computer will get this message through.
I nominate Minnesota Vikingss' Alan Page,
DT, 9 times Pro Bowl and Carl Eller, DE, 6 times Pro Bowl and both at Canton.
